1) Candles — Most of the candles here are soy-based wax or beeswax, not petroleum-based which is known to be carcinogenic. Beeswax candles have the additional benefit of producing negative ions as they burn which absorb allergens in the air, actually cleaning the air! The one make of candles we do have that are still petroleum-based, at least do not have leaded wicks. Did you know that most wicks have lead centers , particles of which become air-born as the candles burn?
